Synqor Field Trip 12/6
The field trip to Synqor, Inc. will leave by bus at 9am on Friday 12/6 from in front of bldg. 39. Please plan to arrive at 8:55. We will have lunch there and return to MIT by around 2pm.Synqor (www.synqor.com) is a manufacturer of high performance dc-dc converters, rectifiers and inverters founded by former MIT alums and faculty, and has its World headquarters, along with design and manufacturing facilities, in Boxborough MA.

Power Electronics Seminar - Prof. Jian Sun - Thursday 11/21 3-4pm in Rm. 56-154
On Thursday 11/21 we will attend a power electronics seminar by Prof. Jian Sun of RPI. (This will be in place of our usual class on Friday, which is cancelled). The seminar will be 3-4 in room 56-154, and refreshments will be served. The title of the seminar is:Impedance Modeling and Control of Power Electronics in Power Systems

Nerd Event - Friday Nov. 8th - 12-1:30 pm in 32-144 - Pizza served
On Friday November 8th from 12-1:30 pm (after class) we will have an (unofficial) showing of the documentary "Codebreakers: Bletchley Park's Lost Heroes" on the development of codebreaking methods and the computer "Colossus" during WWII.
