Quiz 1 TOPICS
Here are the topics of the questions on Quiz 1. There
will be 4 questions
with 2 parts instead of the usual 3 questions with 3
parts.
1 Springs and masses and stiffness matrices
2 Least squares and projections : the b-p-e
triangle
3 Graphs and networks and incidence matrices and
Kirchhoff's Current Law
4a Construct a difference equation 4b
Idea of eigenvalues
There will not be elimination or computing eigenvalues or
singular values
Not delta functions: they will be saved until they come again
in Fourier series
Jonathan has posted two old exams and we are looking for the
complete set ! (These are on the Materials portion of the Stellar
Page)

Since Tuesday October 11 is a holiday, we will offer a special help session in Room 54-100 (THE SAME AS THE QUIZ ROOM ON THE 13th).
This will be WED OCT 12 at the usual time 4:00 to possibly 6:00 -- come with questions !
Before then I will announce the topics of the quiz questions.
