Grades submitted, final exam statistics and Secret of Life evaluations

Hi everyone,

1.) Grades for the course have been submitted.

2.) In case you are interested, the exam statistics and approximate letter grade distribution for the final exam (Exam 4) are included below.

Average = 149.28 Standard deviation = 20.81

Please find below the letter grade, the point range for the letter grade, percent of students with the letter grade (in this order):


A = 174 - 200 (% students with grade = 10.9 %)


B = 140 - below 174 (% students with grade = 56.67 %)


C = 124 - below 140 (% students with grade = 30 %)


D = 94 - below 108. 40 (% students with grade = 1.7 %)


F = below 94 (% students with grade = <1 %)

3.) The Secret of Life evaluation form is still open. We would appreciate any input you can provide on the Secret of Life study guide by filling an online evaluation at the Secret of Life web site:

Office Hours MOVED: Sun 11:30-2:30pm

Optional final exam review tomorrow and reminder about evaluations for the course and for

Hi everyone,

1) Thank you to all of you who submitted online evaluations for the course! Please go ahead and fill one if you have not already done so as your input will help us improve the course for future semesters.

2) We would also appreciate any input you can provide on the Secret of Life study guide by filling an online evaluation at the Secret of Life web site.

3) Tomorrow, I will lead an optional review session for the final between 2:00-3:30 PM in 26-100. While the review will be covering lecture materials with a priority for the later lectures in Q and A style (come with questions!), I will go over any questions you may have for any part of the course. I am planning to stay after the review if there are any lingering questions. I will also give tips on best strategies for getting ready for the final (spoiler alert: do practice questions!) and best strategies for answering questions in the final (spoiler alert: read the question in its entirety!)

Finally, we would like to thank you for all your hard work and participation throughout the semester and wish you good luck in your finals and all your future endeavors!
