21M.051  Fundamentals of Music

We have been able to open one more piano lab section on Tuesdays from 7-8, taught by Dr. Elaine Kwon. To secure a place in this Lab please contact her as soon as possible at ekondo@mit.edu.

Due to an extraordinary demand we have opened two new piano lab sections for students who were unable to secure a place previously.

These hours are:

Tuesday from 1-2. Taught by Dr Daesik Cha (chad7773@mit.edu)

AND

Wednesday from 1-2. Taught by Dr Andrew Smith (afsmith@mit.edu)

Please contact the instructors directly via email to secure a place. I would suggest doing this as soon as possible as these slots will fill quickly.

Please remember that, for those of you lucky enough to secure a slot in 21M.051 last week,  Piano Labs for Fundamentals of Music begin tomorrow morning in 24.033. If you haven't found a Lab time, sign up for one as soon as possible, as only a limited number of places are left.

The work of students enrolled in 21M.051 is supported by a weekly, hour long Piano Lab. These Labs will begin on Monday, September 10. To enroll in their Piano Lab students should proceed to room 24-033 immediately after they have secured their place in the class during the first class meeting of the semester. They should then sign the roster for a Lab time from among the 37 offered that they can attend over the entire semester. There are five available places for each hour of Lab. Students who add their names as a 6th or 7th attendee will be dropped from the Lab, putting the student's ability to complete the class at risk.
