I have just put up the important dates for the rest of the
semester in 302.
Please note that on Monday March 29th the first part of the theme is due.
RECIPE FOR ROUDED BINARY FORM THEME (part I)
1. Major key only
2. A four bar antecedent phrase, with a half cadence in bar four.
3. A four bar consequent phrase that modulated using a pivot chord to the key a fifth higher than the tonic. A full cadence in this new key.

Dear 302,
Our quiz will be on this coming monday. Contents as follows,
1.6 regular resolutions of V7. (all inversions, all keys possible)
2. Minor key bass-line, Major key bass-line.
The following concepts will appear I-vii06-I6 (with the common, non-tritone resolving formulation), rules of doubling, resolution of tritones, use of ii6, ii6/5 prep-susp-res. V-vi (double tonic in vi), Cadential 6/4, applied/secondary dominants all inversions.
3. Roman numeral analysis, with marked and labeled no-harmonic tones, of a given fragment.

S. Lee Piano Lab cancelled today
Today's Piano lab with Seunghee Lee has been cancelled due
to illness. Lab will begin next Monday. All other labs as

Please note that the Piano Lab sign-up sheet is located
outside of the Lab, 4-070. Please sign up for a convenient time
that you will be able to attend throughout the semester. There has
been some understandable confusion as to whether there is a
separate sheet for 302. There is not; please use the single sheet
that is posted.
