communication grade on Second Report e-mailed to you
I sent you each by e-mail your grade (by me) on the Second Report, as well as a summary comment. If you did not get the e-mail, please write and ask me to send it again.
I apologize if there are any weird characters in the text. Copying and pasting from Word into Webmail sometimes adds question marks, for example, where there should be apostrophes.
Have a nice summer!

I also invite you to discuss or practice your oral presentation with me, and have set aside some time for 22.09. Please e-mail me at least 24 hours in advance to schedule, so that I can reserve a classroom & projector.

Ge Detector Data Posted
I just discovered that some of you working on the gamma spectroscopy lab may not have the data from the manufacturer's data sheet so I've posted a copy with the lab guides. You can use this data for comparison with the numbers that you have measured for resolution, peak to Compton ratio and efficiency. Note that the efficiency number is to be compared to a standard efficiency as described in Knoll p 449 "5. Conventions in Quoting Detection Efficiency".

Copy of Knoll
There is an unclaimed library copy of Knoll, 3rd ed. that was left in the gamma spectroscopy lab sometime around spring break. If you checked it out and would like it back, swing by Friday during the lab period to claim it. Take care -
