Final exam results
Hi All,
We have graded the final exam and posted the answer key in the Materials section. I am out of town though, so you cannot pick up your graded exams until I return, as they are at my home. They will be available for pickup beginning Wednesday next week, from Alyssa Petchonka on the 5th floor of E62. The mean of the final exam was 367/400 with a standard deviation of 21.
If you have any questions, you can email me.
Thanks,
Tiana

Practice finals posted
Hi All,
I have posted some final exams from prior years, along with solutions for two of them. Unfortunately we don't have a solution set for the 2011 final, but if you complete it and send it to me, I can look over answers and/or discuss during office hours on Friday. A few questions from these will look familiar from the practice exam for quiz 5, but I wanted to post the full final to give you a sense of length/breadth of content.
As discussed in class today, we don't always cover precisely the same content year to year, so if you see anything that looks like material we didn't cover, you're probably right. For instance, we didn't do logistic regression or goodness-of-fit test this year, so you will not be responsible for that material on the final.
Please don't worry; the exam will be reasonable and fair. It will likely cover exactly the sorts of things you think it will, given what was stressed in class this semester. If you've been doing the work all along, you should be just fine. If you have any questions about the content of the final, please email me or attend the office hours (Wed 10am-12noon or Fri 3pm-5pm).
Thanks,
Tiana

Monday bring computers to class
Hi Everyone,Please bring your computers to class tomorrow.
We will be doing some really fun (and potentially tricky!) problems on monday to prepare for the most difficult part of your exam. Don't get too worried though - the exam will be at the same level as all of your quizzes throughout the semester.
Cheers,
Cynthia
