That's all folks

The final exams have been graded and your scores are online. Your
letter grade should appear on student.mit.edu within a few days.

Allow me to take this last opportunity to thank Josh Dillon for his
help with this class, and to thank all of you for your hard work this
semester. I enjoyed being your guide to astrophysics! Best wishes in
all your future studies.

Subject evaluations

I've just learned that only a few people have completed a subject evaluation for 8.901. If you haven't already, please take a moment to complete your evaluation. Your opinions will provide important guidance to me, to the physics department, and to your fellow students. Thank you!

Evaluations are due tomorrow (Monday) at 9 am.

Final exam

The final exam will be on Wednesday, May 22, from 9-12 in the usual
lecture room, 3-442. The scope is the entire class: lectures,
readings, and problem sets. There will be 6 problems of varying
difficulty, ranging from short answers and order-of-magnitude
calculations to more lengthy derivations. This is a closed book exam,
though you may bring one sheet (both sides) of your own handwritten
notes. Please also bring a calculator.

Best wishes for your final preparation!

No office hours today. Final office hours next Tuesday 5-7.

Hi class,

Since I'm in Washington DC today, I won't be holding office hours today. Instead, I will hold one final office hours on Tuesday from 5-7 in the Solarium (6th floor of 37). I'll be happy to answer any lingering questions you have about the problem sets or other topics from the course.

Problem set due on Monday

Since I have already approved several extensions on problem set 9, I am changing the due date for everyone to Monday, April 29. To keep to a one-week interval between problem sets, the remaining sets will also be due on Mondays: May 6 and May 13.
