In the ongoing evolution of our beloved campus-wide student computer
system Athena continues, newer machines purchased by Information
Systems have sound capability.  In addition, music scoring, in the
form of Music\TeX is avaialble for most Athena machines.  This
document describes how 'get stuff done' with sound and music on
Athena.

Please keep in mind that making excessive noise in public Athena
clusters is against the rules of use; for this reason do not use sound
on \em{any} public Athena workstation without headphones.
