Time: 00:08:35 Date: Sat Nov 21 1992 Host: E40-008-9 From: 6.004 Talking Lab TA Yes! What are you looking for? Time: 00:10:09 Date: Sat Nov 21 1992 Host: KARMA From: "Computer, end program! NOW!" Well, I have the SLS because I'm too much of a wimp to try to get the full system. The SLS is missing two tools that I consider important - more and csh (or tcsh or similar csh clone.) I'm looking for the sources (or, Hell, the binaries) for either of these... (Didn't see them on tsx-11...) Time: 00:13:56 Date: Sat Nov 21 1992 Host: E40-008-9 From: 6.004 Talking Lab TA 'more' isn't included in SLS? That's surprising... it's on H. Lu's disks. I can give it to you. tsch is on tsx-11 under pub/linux/binaries/usr.bin/tcsh-6.02.bin.T.Z. There's also a tcsh.tar.Z in there, don't know what it is. There's a diff in pub/linux/sources/usr.bin, I assume for patching the ordinary tcsh sources to work under linux. Time: 00:14:25 Date: Sat Nov 21 1992 Host: DEATHTONGUE From: Marc Horowitz tcsh-6.03 will be out next week. you might want to wait. Time: 00:15:59 Date: Sat Nov 21 1992 Host: KARMA From: "Computer, end program! NOW!" In the SLS, more is both symlinked in /usr/bin AND aliased in .profile to less (which I dont like much.) Ok Thanks! Time: 00:16:48 Date: Sat Nov 21 1992 Host: E40-008-9 From: 6.004 Talking Lab TA Oh yeah... apparently, some people like less much better than more. 8-) You want more? I can send it to you right now if you like...
