DISCUSS(SIPB) UNIX Programmer's Manual DISCUSS(SIPB) NAME discuss - Conferencing system SYNOPSIS discuss [ meeting_name ] DESCRIPTION _D_i_s_c_u_s_s is a user-interface program to a networked con- ferencing system. It provides the concept of "meetings", which a user may attend. Users may post "transactions" (short pieces of text) which may be read out of the meeting. The _D_i_s_c_u_s_s user interface is heavily influenced by the Mul- tics _F_o_r_u_m conferencing system. The commands accepted may be listed by using the "?" command once in discuss. There is also a "help" command which pro- vides help on a command once inside the program. Type "help commandname" to get information on using a command. The "quit" command exits discuss. For an introduction to using this system, consult the docu- ment "Using Discuss", available from the SIPB. FILES /usr/spool/discuss/* Meetings /tmp/mtg#####.##### Temporary file for editing. ~/.meetings Data file listing meetings that you attend.
