Running a Virtual Machine with Debugging Information

You can run a virtual machine with debugging information that is helpful to VMware technical support in resolving issues.

To turn debugging mode on:

1. Connect to the virtual machine with a console. Make sure the virtual machine is powered off.
2. Select Settings > Configuration Editor from the console.
3. Click Misc in the left-hand panel.
4. Select the Run with debugging information option, then click OK to apply your changes.
