Some computers, such as laptops, have CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives that can be removed. To accommodate removable CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives, set up the virtual drive without the Start Connected option. Then enable or disable the CD-ROM as necessary while the virtual machine is running using the Devices menu in the console.
