Changing Network Access for a Virtual Machine

You can change the type of network access a virtual machine uses with the Configuration Editor. To do so, you change the virtual network to which the virtual machine's Ethernet Adapter connects.

To change the network access for a virtual machine's Ethernet adapter:

  1. Select File > Open and open the virtual machine configuration file (.cfg) you want to modify.
  2. Select Settings > Configuration Editor from the console window.
  3. Select the Ethernet adapter you want to modify from the list of devices.
  4. From the Connection Type field on the far right, select the network to which you want the virtual Ethernet adapter to connect.

  5. Click OK.
