.Xdefaults
file (in the
user's home directory). Since the class name for the Mosaic application is
Mosaic (with a capital M), entries in an .Xdefaults
file look something like
this:
.Xdefaults
file while Mosaic is
running, the changes will not take effect until you quit and re-run Mosaic.
On most systems, you also need to use the command:
.Xdefaults
file to take effect. You will notice that this documentation describes X resources by their name, followed by a colon (:), followed by the resource data type. For example, if the resource type is integer, then the word integer should be replaced by a whole number. Here is a brief list of resource data types:
