Discuss->WWW gateway: sample root page
This is a sample root page for your Discuss->WWW gateway. It lives in
a file called index.html in the files subdirectory of your
diswww installation. You should customize this page with
information about your site.
As a strating point, you can look at several pages from the gateway
I'm running on
www.mit.edu:8008.
- mit-index.html
This is a copy of index.html from the gateway at MIT.
- info.html
This file contains some general information on the gateway,
including a section on generating URLs from server and meeting names.
- help.html
The meanings of the icons (and word links for text clients) are
described here. (I'm also considering replacing the icons, if someone
wants to make better ones... =)
- faq.html
Answers to several simple questions users of the gateway might have.
Here's also a pointer to the Everybody
discuss meeting, if you want to test your gateway. I've had no chance
to try it using non-Kerberized Discuss libraries, so let me know
whether that works.
If you are finishing up your diswww installation, you
should send me

Questions are always welcome, but it might take me a while to answer;
I'll be on the wrong side of a 56kbps link this summer, and during
school season my classes take precedence over this.
