Welcome! The members of the MIT Tae Kwon Do Club train in the Korean martial
art of Tae Kwon Do.
All eligible persons – regardless of their level of physical training
and experience in martial arts – are welcome in our club.
The MIT Tae Kwon Do Club was founded in 1978 by Master Chung Sun Kang, the
oldest son of Grandmaster Suh Chong Kang, one of the highest ranking masters
in Tae Kwon Do in the world. We have trained continuously since 1978 under
our founder and a direct lineage of his students. Black belt examinations
are given by Master Ho Sun Kang, our founder's brother, most often at his
school in New York City under the supervision of Grandmaster Kang.
