Installing the Guest Operating System in the First Virtual Machine (Node)

For information on installing Windows 2000 Advanced Server or Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition in the virtual machine, see the VMware Guest Operating System Installation Guide. It is available from the Help menu or from the VMware Web site at www.vmware.com/support/guestnotes/doc/index.html.

Note: During the installation of the guest operating system, do not install the clustering services at this time.

When the installation is complete, install VMware Tools in the guest operating system. See Installing VMware Tools.

After you finish installing the guest operating system and VMware Tools, clone the virtual machine. (Later, you create the second cluster node using the clone.)
