Clinical Notes Settings

The Clinical Notes Settings screen allows you to set the default behavior for all users who use Clinical Notes within the health care facility. When you select Clinical Notes from the Edit Settings menu on the Institution Desktop, the Clinical Notes Settings screen appears.

The Clinical Notes Settings screen allows you to configure the following parameters:

• Default # of instances for all clinical note types : This setting determines how many instances of each clinical note type that users will receive when they sync their handheld device. The default is 1, up to a maximum of 10. Note that users can override this setting on their handheld device if they wish to receive more or fewer instances of clinical notes.
• Maximum # of Days' Worth of Notes to Keep Per Patient on the Handheld : This setting specifies the maximum number of days, between 1 and 180, worth of clinical notes data for each patient that will be stored on the handheld device.
