Patient List Settings

The Patient List Settings screen allows administrators to define view filters for department users' long lists, as well as the short list filters and data populators, long list data filters, and rounding order lists for use within profiles that will be available to all current users in the department. The user can always choose to hide these stock utilities if they decide that they aren't useful to them by using the Patient List settings under the Prefs tab.

On your device, the Patient List main screen is a view of your short list. This is the list of patients with whom you have a relationship that also meet the criteria of your short list data filter if you have one. This short list is also the list of patients for whom you have clinical data updated on your handheld whenever you sync your device. You can add patients to your short list by using the Add Patient feature and selecting them from the long list. On your next sync, you will receive any clinical data available for the newly added patients.

See also Expanded Discussion of Patient List Filtering for more information on how to use filters to control which patients are added to your short and long lists.
