Sending Patients

You can send patients to one or more other health care providers if that functionality is enabled for your account. If you are an administrator with a PAT Access Level of Level 1 , you can enable this capability by modifying the Patient List Settings under the Prefs tab for any Level 2 or Level 1 user.

To send one or more patients:

  1. Select on or more patients you wish to send by checking the box preceding that patient's name.
  2. Click the Send button and the Select Users form will appear, along with a Quick Details box.
  3. Check the box preceding the name of all users that you want to receive the patient. As you check users, the Quick Details box will update to reflect the information.
  4. Click the Send button in the Quick Details box to send the selected patients to the specified users. A Send Patients Results screen appears with the results.

If a user is unable to receive patients (as specified in the Patient List Settings for that user account), then the Send Patients Results screen that appears will indicate that the patient was not sent to the specified recipient.
