Device Settings
The Institution Device Settings allow the administrator to set a variety of device oriented settings that apply to all users.

Battery Requires Attention Threshold
This setting determines the battery level at which a handheld user will receive a warning. The level set as a percentage between 0% and 100%. If the available battery power falls below this setting the handheld user will receive an alert telling them that their power is getting low.

Memory Requires Attention Threshold
This setting determine the free memory level at which a handheld user will receive a warning. The level is set as an integer number of kilobytes and is set separately for PalmOS devices and PocketPC devices.

Maximum Time Between Syncs Before Alert is Displayed
This setting determines when the data expiration control warns the handheld user that they haven't sync recently and risk having stale data. This setting is an integer number of hours between 1 and 72.

Warning Interval after Alert is Displayed
This setting determine how often the data expiration control displays the stale data warning after the maximum time between syncs has been exceeded.

Require Login after Sync
This setting determines whether the handheld user is required to enter their password after performing a sync.

Require Login after Handheld Timeout
This setting determines if the handheld user is required to enter their password after the application times out.

Require Login after "n" minutes of Inactivity
This setting determines the number of minutes of inactivity on the handheld for the application to timeout.

Disable Handheld Applications after "n" Login Attempts

Patient List Settings
The System Administrator Patient list Settings allow administrators to control settings that to some extent determine how many patients end up on user's long and short lists.

Long List Active Account Period (days after admission)
This setting determines how many days after an account's admission date it will still be considered active, even if the account has been discharged.

Long List Active Account Period (days after discharge)
This setting determines how many days after an account's discharge date it will still be considered active.

Maximum Number of Patients on the Short List when Populating
This setting is intended to prevent "errant" short list populators from adding too many patients to a user's short list. During a sync, Mobilizer calculates how many patients would be on the short list as a result of the populators selected in a user's profile. If the number of patients exceeds this setting, the populators will not be used and the user will receive an alert on their handheld informing them that their populator's were not used.

Main View Configurable Column Options
This setting allows the administrator to select which of the available account and patient properties can be displayed in the configurable column on the handheld patient list.

Allowed Criteria for Patient List Filters and Populators
This setting allows the administrator to determine the superset of properties that can be used by back office administrators and handheld users when creating when creating patient list filters and populators. This is a crucial setting because it can prevent users from inadvertently creating filters that behave "poorly" by resulting in long or short lists that have too much data.

Please refer to the Patient List Settings discussion in Personal Preferences for a description of these filters and populators.
