Subject: typist in decmipsbin leaves cruft on the screen

The game 'typist' leaves letters on the screen from one exercise to the
next. It's kind of difficult to do well if you can't tell where the end
of the line is because of extraneous letters.

I was running a speed trial (s1) on a DECstation, under xterm and zsh.
