I spoke with Calvin about this.  The stuff he has put together is mostly
what I was looking for; I have some different PostScript font hacks
which include hacks for the Utopia font family (as found in the
postscript locker and in GhostScript).  I'll coordinate with Calvin & Bert
about making things work.
