Subject: cvs/rcs/diff woes

I tried to do a cvs update on a DECstation and it failed because I
didn't have the gnu locker attached. It seems that the gdiff3 in the
gnu locker used by rcsmerge tries to invoke /mit/gnu/decmipsbin/gdiff.
While this is perfectly self-consistent for people who use diff
manually, it will not do for use with RCS/CVS in the watchmaker locker.
I propose that gdiff/gdiff3 be installed in the watchmaker locker
somewhere (not necessarily in the bin directories) and that the RCS
programs in the watchmaker locker should be configured to use them.

I will construct such a self-consistent installation within a couple of
days unless someone voices a better idea.
