Subject: VEX trial review closes November 1
Date: Fri, 26 Oct 90 08:57:37 -0400
From: rws@expo.lcs.mit.edu (Bob Scheifler)

A reminder that VEX trial review closes November 1 (Thursday).

I would appreciate it if Advisory reps would send me their votes by then
as to whether technical review should begin. Comments from individuals on
the vex mailing list are also appreciated. Remember that a Yes vote does
not imply acceptance of the current specification, only that it should be
formally reviewed for acceptance. Here are some possible votes (pick one
or supply your own):

We believe VEX should proceed to Technical Review, and we expect to participate
in the review.

We do not have the resources at the present time to participate in the
VEX review, but we are willing to let the Technical Review proceed without us.

We are not interested in VEX, but we agree to let Technical Review proceed.

We do not have the resources at the present time to participate in the
VEX review, and ask that Technical Review be postponed until <fill in date>,
when we would have the resources available.

We believe VEX should not proceed to Technical Review, because <fill in why>.
