\heading{Reviewing Athena Documents

}
\symbola{7} Please don't bother pointing out ugly page breaks. Since fixing
page breaks is such a time consuming process, we do it carefully, but only
when we are preparing the final copy.

\symbola{7} Please remember that Athena documents come in two forms - hardcopy
for Graphic Arts distribution and also for OLH. This affects many issues with
the documents, mostly in formatting.

\indent{\symbola{7} For example, tables are necessarily ugly, because they
must be translated to ASCII on the fly. We can put figures (like screen
dumps) into the modules, but the text must stand independent of such figures,
since translating to ASCII will lose the raster.

\symbola{7} We cannot use page numbers or section numbers for
cross-referencing, because these numbers have no meaning in the OLH trees.

\symbola{7} As you review, you will probably notice other "uglies" that cannot
be avoided because of the EZ/harcopy/OLH/ASCII limitations (i.e. indentation
for sub-sections in table of contents).

}
\symbola{7} Commands in running text are in bold sans serif, document titles
are in bold roman, and there are other such style conventions throughout
Athena documentation. Only comment in cases of inconsistency and negligence.
 If you just don't like it, only comment if you feel you must. We probably
won't be able to change it very soon, and not for this document, though we are
open to input for re-evaluating the style guide in the future.
