We have verified with Wolfram that if you lose network connectivity after working within Mathematica, there is no option remaining other than to exit without saving (unless you're willing to wait an indefinite period until the network returns). We've asked them to add the ability to save without license server connectivity in future Mathematica releases. If you switch between different Mathematica versions during the same login session you may get errors about "xset: bad font path element". This is probably due to its getting confused about which set of Mathematica fonts to use if you attach and detach version lockers. The errors should be gone on subsequent login sessions.
