surfing

• Surfing is a sport that requires the use of a large board and a large body of water in some kind of harmonic motion. The term `surfing', as it applies to the net, was concieved as a joke and is being propogated by a group of people including Wired Magazine on a dare. At some point in the future this group will reveal their secret, that surfing is in no way related to the net, and that they were just trying to see how many people they could fool into thinking that they were using `hep computer jargon'. Don't be fooled.
