IMPORTANT: First of all run INSTALL.BAT, which will make a bootable floppy disk, copy partition manager, and save your current MBR on it. Then it will be safe to continue. The help file for partition manager is part.htm. You can view that file with Netscape or inside partition manager (by pressing F1). If you run partition manager from a floppy, get some mouse driver in order to follow hyperlinks in the help. For additional help and information visit my home page. You also will find there the newest version of the program, bug fixes and source codes. Note for owners of 8G disks The old standard for partition table has the 8G limit for the size of the hard disk and partitions. Current version of the partition manager follows that standard and if you have 8G or greater disk it will not be able to see anything above 8G. However, below 8G everything works as usual. If you already have partitions, that reside beyond 8G boundary, partition manager will mark them as inconsistent and will not do anything with them. In one of the next versions I am going to add support for the large disks. Mikhail Ranish ranish@intercom.com http://www.intercom.com/~ranish or http://www.ml.brooklyn.cuny.edu/~mranish
