Flying destinations in New England
On this page you can read about cool destinations that we can recommend that you fly to, especially during the
beautiful summer in New England. Remember that you can always go to airnav.com to
find the most up-to-date information on navaids and airports.
Martha's Vineyard,MA. On this beautiful island there are two airports. The main bigger airport is
KMVY at Vineyard Haven. There is a smaller airport,
1B2 - Katama, which is located 2 minute walk from the beach. There
are pictures from both places on the picture gallery pages.
Nantucket,MA. Nantucket is a great alternative destination to Martha's Vineyard. The island has a lot
of history with houses dating back to the 18th century. KACK - Nantucket
Memorial Airport is only located 3 miles from Nantucket Town. You can walk to take a cab, which is about $10.
Provincetown,MA. This charming town surrounded by beautiful beaches
is located at the tip of Cape Cod, and depending on traffic it can take several
hours to get there by car. But with an airplane, it is only about 30-40 minutes away from the Boston Area (depending on airpor
and aircraft). Fly to KPVC - Provincetown Muni Airport and get there
early, because parking space is limited.
Bar Harbor, ME. Bar Harbor is a great destination. It is a very popular destination for summer guests.
South West Harbor, where the famous Hinckley boats are built is only a few miles away. Fly to
KBHB - Bar Harbor Airport.
