MassGIS Data
============

This data was, by and large, downloaded from data.massgis.state.ma.us
from the /pub/shape directory.  This only has the shape file data, not
the ARCview export files.  The .exe files were downloaded and unzipped
using unzip (no options).

Each data set contains multiple files.  XXX represents a town or USGS
quadrangle number.  More details on the file names and contents is in
/mit/dmaze/src/gis/NOTES.

Data sets:

mbta: MBTA Rapid Transit
  Filename mbta??.???
mhdroads: Mass Highway Department Roads (includes local roads)
  Divided by USGS quad, filename mrdXXX??.???
  USGS Quads 114, 115, 125, 126
towns: Town Boundaries (With Coast)
  Filename towns??.???

to index certain data sets, including mhdroads.
