This automatic reply is to inform you that I've received your message,
most likely addressed to <jdfalk@cybernothing.org> or <jdfalk@cais.com>,
possibly to <jdfalk@netaxs.com>, <jdfalk@bofh.org.uk>, or others.

Chances are very good that I'll be able to respond within about a day,
maybe two, but I've been becoming busier and busier so don't be surprised
if it takes a while longer. I /will/ read your message eventually.

Here's a few quick responses that may help:

FAQs or other informational documents I maintain
Just EMail me with subject "gimme help" (no quotes, body ignored),
and you'll get an automatic response with full instructions.

misc.news.internet.announce and .discuss (Press Releases, etc.)
The appropriate address for submissions to the new newsgroup
	misc.news.internet.announce is <mnia-sub@cybernothing.org>.
Mail meant for the moderator should instead be sent to the
address <mnia-req@cybernothing.org>. Press releases sent to
this account will be treated as advertising (see below.)

CAIS Internet (formerly Capital Area Internet Service)
Never use my personal account for company buisness without prior
authorization. If you're not sure which address to use to deal
with a situation, please contact <noc@cais.com>.

Advertising
According to the United States Code, Title 47, Chapter 5,
Subchapter II, unsolicited advertisements sent via e-mail are
illegal in the United States of America. You can get a copy
of this document by sending me a message with a Subject: header
which reads simply "gimme code47.5.II" (no quotes, nothing else,
body of the message will be ignored.)

Sorry if it sounds like I'm bitching a lot -- truth is, until I started
this autoresponder, the above three categories used to make up less than
fifteen percent of the mail I receive. However, I get so much mail every
day that fifteen percent is way too much.

If your message is not related to any of those things, that's great!
Thanks again for your message -- I'll get back to you soon.
