#....does the fact that the FAQs have been replaced mean you're
#not posting them anymore?

that is correct. the alt.magick FAQ (HTML) now points do these
files and they are listed in the ASCI version but not directly
posted within the newsgroup (though I'm formatting them as if
they are being so posted).

#...there is already an alt.magick FAQ in our database, but it
#has not been approved for news.answers, and I don't believe that
#it has been posted recently.

at a few sites I found a small file which was a *question* asking
where the alt.magick_FAQ was. those which did have the alt.magick FAQ
probably have an old old version (though I didn't see many of these
lying around -- you might check your file, I'll bet it is isn't much
of anything).

#Since that is the case, if you would like to get your FAQ approved
#for news.answers, we'll send this other maintainer a note and ask
#him if he's still going to be posting.

be sure that he really is another maintainer. please also realize
that, according to Pamela Greene, multiple FAQs are acceptable to
the news.answers crew (thus I have a secondary alt.satanism FAQ
as well, which *was* recently approved by the news.answers people
(if you want that I'll send it along also).

#The decision about whether to post to news.answers, however,
#is yours. We don't have any say over which FAQs should try for approval
#and which shouldn't. Anyway, that's all for now. Let us know what your
#plans are.

this is the second query about my sending the file to news.answers. I'd
thought I'd done that via the email address, but apparently this is not
the case. I'll repost and this time include news.answers in the header,
along with alt.answers.
