• 5 Dec 2001: Tengo's office hours in the last week of class are Thu-Fri 13-14 Dec 3:30-5pm.

• 26 Nov 2001: The due date for problem set 5 is now Fri 30 Nov 5pm. Please hand in your homework to Kathy in 35-308 if Tengo is not around in 35-307.

• 19 Nov 2001: The due date for problem set 5 is now Wed 28 Nov.

• 9 Nov 2001: The final exam is on Mon 17 Dec from 1:30pm to 4:30pm in room 33-116 (our usual classroom).

• 12 Oct 2001: Problem Set 3 is now due by Fri 19 Oct 5pm in my office 35-307. For this problem set, no late homework will be accepted.

• 4 Oct 2001: There is a typo in eq (4.20) in the book. The last term in the square-root sign (involving logarithm) should have an additional factor of (sigma_0^2 sigma_1^2) multiplied to it. Accordingly, the assumption below shouldn't have the denominator of (sigma_0^2 sigma_1^2) in it. This turns out to be a tedious manipulation of expression. So you don't have to show me the detailed derivation in your work.

• 20 Sep 2001: Tengo's office hours are now extended to Tue 2:30-4pm and Fri 3:30-5pm.
