To reiterate, Dr. Everett is (as Sarah would put it) 'a vile man'. More specifically, he is a world class prick. I think I've mentioned this before.

Last night we were going to drive out to the site, but Sarah convinced me we should just catch up on our sleep and go out this morning. So we slept. On our way to the site this morning, the Greater Cairo Metropolitan Police intercepted us and informed us that no one was allowed near the site. We politely pointed out that we had things at the site and wanted to get them. He informed us that Dr. Everett was on site and he would return our things.

At this point, I not so politely told the officer that he had a stick up his ass and he should suck Everett's dick. That's how I ended up in the Cairo jail. Fucking morons. The consulate got me out, and Sarah was none too thrilled.
