Dear President Hockfield,
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! We'd like to update you on the progress of your personal tour highlighting the experiences of students, staff, faculty, and all the other members of our shared community.
We have conducted interviews to gather stories from around the community to facilitate a unique opportunity for you and everyone in the community to learn more about each other in a new and exciting way. The simple question we are asking people is: "What would you show Susan Hockfield on a tour that could help her understand your experience of MIT?" To most efficiently transmit these stories to you, we have chosen to arrange them into a personal interactive tour for and guided by members of the community themselves.
We have received interesting feedback from undergraduate and graduate students, MIT Medical staff, MIT athletics staff, and other members of our diverse community who have personal stories they would like to show you.
We would like to host your tour sometime during the December 8- December 13 at a time is convenient for you. Would 10am on Thursday, December 10th fit into your schedule? Please let us know as soon as possible so that we can finalize this important detail. The best way to contact the organizors is by emailing communitytour@mit.edu.
