The Infoagents Locker

DESCRIPTION:

The infoagents locker contains software supported and recommended by the CWIS group of MIT Information Systems. Currently supported WWW browsers are Lynx and Netscape.

HOW TO RUN:

• COMMAND: add infoagents followed by
  • lynx
  • netscape (US-only version)
• FROM DASH: Under Communication / World Wide Web

INTERFACES:

Netscape is an X11 interface to the WWW. Lynx is a TTY interface. To choose the most appropriate interface to view a URL, or to view a URL in a browser already running, type

• htmlview URL

VERSIONS:

• Netscape 4.61 is available for Sun, SGI, Linux, and NetBSD. Versions 4.05 and 3.01 are also available, but may have limited support. See the Netscape page for more details.
• Lynx 2.7.1 with SSL/X.509 extensions is available for Sun, SGI, Linux, and NetBSD.
