Community Service

As MIT students, we are looked to as leaders for the future. We are also in the unique position of having plenty of knowledge and experience which can be used to benefit our surrounding community as well as the youth and energy to put that knowledge to use.

It is for that reason that we strive to make our community a better place through service. Whether it is through house events, like the Trick-or-Treating for canned goods for the hungry, City Days (a service event in the Cambridge elementary schools), and the Hike for Hunger, or through individual service, like tutoring at a local high school and helping to build playgrounds for children, we all give back to our community.

Our goal is to get every brother into the habit of serving the community such that when they graduate, they will continue to give back after they move out of the house. Essentially, we want every brother to incorporate into their lives our motto, "Give, expecting nothing thereof."
