The Most Intense week of your life

Phi Kappa Theta Rush 2000

We hope that this guide has helped answer any questions that you have about surviving your first week here. Rush is still far off, and we realize that you're probably not too concerned yet, but it's never too early to get a head start. We'll have some roof fests at the house, and maybe some brothers in your area will have a party. And if this book has caught your interest, please come visit during Rush week — we'd love to meet you!

If you have any questions, feel free to call the house here in Boston (yes, call collect!) at (617) 437-7795. Ask for Alex Chang. Or e-mail any questions to kippster@mit.edu.

Because Young sometimes forgets where he lives.

Farewells...

Young Kim '99 Torrance, CA EECS While everyone celebrated the coming of the new millennium, we celebrated Y2K. That is, we celebrated the return of Young Kyu Kim. You see we were all happy to have this grad student back in the house and going for his masters via the MEng program. No, we weren't excited because of the mad basketball skills he brought back, the always positive outlook on life, his guitar strumming talents, or even the ability to defend the house against intruders with his third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. No, we were excited because we, once again, had two people in the house that could give free haircuts.

Jim Berry '00 Dover-Foxcroft, ME Econ./Poli.Sci. Back from his term travelling through South America, Jim has quickly returned to the life he knew at MIT. That's right, he's once again winning cross-country skiing races and breezing through his economics and political science classes. Don't think he hasn't gained anything from the experience, though. He now knows some Spanish, and more importantly, he has tons of stories about seedy bars and seedier women. So what was the best part of it all? "Usuaia y River Plate."
