VARSITY ATHLETES ARE COOL

Brian Anderson `04 takes off in the 800m at Boston University. He earned
All-American honors with MIT's third place distance medley relay team this
winter. |
Look across this page and you'll see evidence of what we here at PKT
already know: no matter what season it is PKT is alive with Varsity
Athletics. Be it Brian pulling a stride ahead of the pack, or John and
Chris getting pumped up for a crew race, the Phi-Kaps are a dominant
presence in all kinds of Varsity sports at MIT, indoor and outdoor track,
crew, baseball, cross-country, swimming, volleyball, and basketball, just
to name some.
Despite the academic demands of a school like MIT, about 30% of the house
finds time to show off their skills. Just look at Bryan, who, with his two
majors and minor, still finds time to be a dominant force on the baseball
diamond. And for those of us who aren't on the team, nothing's better than
getting out of class and going to watch a brother and the MIT team crush
some other school. Whatever it is, you're sure to see a Phi-Kap on the
team. |
