- Woodworkers- Chip Carving
-
- Woodworkers- Place Setting? A spoon?
- Talk to Harald Longfellow; not a project they've done before;
make sure he understands you know that, and that you're proposing they
put together this class as a project of their own. -- T. 5/19
- Storytellers- Narration Training
- Period Fables?
- Talk to Aleksander Yevsha; make it clear that you're looking for
neither a lecture, nor a "round-table" for experienced storytellers,
nor a performance; be clear that you're proposing something very, very
new and different; that you want people to have very short period written
stories -- fables, say, or riddles or jokes or poems -- that get passed out,
and everyone gets a chance to try telling the one they're handed, and
gets feedback and instruction. He needs to know that it's supposed to
be hands-on/participatory but require no preparation on the part of
attendees. -- T. 5/19
- Needleworkers- Period Seams
- Needleworkers- Basic Embroidery
- Needleworkers- Cardweaving
- Making Belts
- Head of needleworkers is Rose Otter; I don't know that she does
cardweaving, so approach her from the position that you're heard of
card-weaving and are looking for a card-weaving teacher, as opposed to
the position of asking her to do "something". -- T. 5/19
- Peasants- Buttermaking
- Head of Peasants is Daniele di Padola, but person who ran butter-
making was, IIRC, Emanualle of Southebanke. -- T. 5/19

maybe with a tasting of period foods. -- T. 5/19
- Low Company/Fools- Period Jokes
- Not something they've done. Maybe ask Commedia/I Sebastiani. --
T.
- Mummers/Kataryn- Spur of the Mumm-ment
- Catrin o'r Rhyd For would be the mumming expert, but Christian
is the head of the mummers guild. -- T. 5/19
- Poetry
- Hmmmm. No poetry experts I know of in the Barony. Maybe once
we have this ball rolling we do an open solicit for them. -- T. 5/19
- Middle Eastern Drumming- Intro
- Ask Yelizaveta. Getting enough drums will be really tricky. --T.
- Dancers- 3 Ren Dances
- Ask the current dancemistress, whoever that turns out to be
(probably Countess Mara). If you do do it spring term, be sure to
suggest the point be a remedial/intro dance thingy, so she understands
it to be not redundant to regular dance practice. -- T. 5/19
