Things to remember: (IAP 1999)

First session: 315 people. A lot of them had C experience.

Write the URL of the outline/notes on the board.

One thing to keep in mind is how to split the two days. We covered
overview topics the first day, leaving most of the concrete stuff
until the second day. That's fine, but we may want to include more
examples in the course, especially dealing with object oriented
programming.

Speed seemed to be about right. First session planned for 2 hours,
went for 1:15.

Try to include some more humor in the presentation (we got some
laughs, and I think it worked well).

Any surveys (what languages, etc) need to be done at the beginning of
the class.
