Curiosity about what ethernet is and how it works in a broad sense.

Don't know 802.11 from 802.3 or 100baseT from 10broad5?  Wonder what
CSMA/CD is, or why some people say Gigabit Ethernet isn't?  The origins
and evolution of Ethernet, with an eye to the practical.
