Mounting Other Partitions
- mount -t type device mountpoint
- Common types: ext2 (Linux), msdos,
vfat, iso9660 (CDROMs)
- Common devices (all in /dev): hdan,
hdbn, etc. (IDE hard disks), sdan,
etc. (SCSI hard disks), fd0 (first floppy drive),
cdrom (typically a symlink).
- The mount point should start as an empty directory.
- To make permanent changes, run fstool as root under X or
edit /etc/fstab.
- attach is another option.
