Enabling Remote Access

• In order to connect securely to your computer with Kerberos, you will need to send mail to accounts@mit.edu to request a srvtab for your machine; they will give you instructions on how to install it.
• To permanently enable Kerberized daemons,

  echo /usr/athena/bin/access_on >> /etc/athena/reactivate.local
  

  as root. (They are disabled by default because running unnecessary services often introduces security holes.)
