Preparing to Install

• Read Installing Red Hat-Athena Linux on MITnet carefully.
• Gather as much information about your hardware as you can.
• Write down your machine's host name and IP address.
• Make a boot disk, and a supplementary disk if you need one.
• If necessary, defragment a DOS partition and run FIPS on it.
• If you need to split a FAT32 partition, you can obtain Partition Magic.
