Getting Kernel Source

• To install source for installed kernel, and necessary tools:

  attach -e small-gods:/redhat
  cd /small-gods/redhat/4.2/i386/RPMS
  rpm -ivh kernel-source-* kernel-headers-* gcc-2* bin86-* binutils-* make-*
  

  (Change 4.2 to 4.0 or 3.0.3 if you're running an older release.)
• Latest supported kernel at time of writing (2.0.33): grab ftp://tsx-11.mit.edu:/pub/linux/sources/system/v2.0/linux-2.0.33.tar.gz and unpack it somewhere (/usr/src standard.)
• 2.1.x experimental and unsupported, and won't work with AFS.
