Subject: Your OLC question about "dialup"

--------

Hi,

Sorry no one was available to answer your question when you were
logged on. You asked:

|>The online documentation says that Athena supports high-speed dialups at
|>258-7096. Which high-speed flavor do these lines speak: V.32, HST, PEP,
|>or something else?
|>
|>In a related question: are there any dialins that talk to Trailblazer
|>modems that speak PEP?

Here is a reply from consultant John Carr:

The number 258-7096 was included by mistake: the high speed lines aren't
ready for use yet. I don't think there will be any protocols supported
other than V32 and MNP-5 (I'm not sure of this, so I'll leave your olc
question active in case someone else does know for sure).

I will mark your question resolved, but if you have any further questions,
please feel free to use OLC again. Thank you!
