Social Groups

• The ECSEL is one of several coalitions funded by the National Science Foundation that have been working to improve engineering education and reduce barriers to minorities and women.
• MIT Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexual Grad Student Coffeehouse
• GAMIT, or Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Transgenders, and Friends at MIT, hosts study breaks, parties, support groups, and other activities for members of MIT's Gay and Lesbian community.
• The MIT Vegetarian Support Group is a very informal organization interested in vegetarian issues. Membership is free, noncommittal and comes with NO requirements (being vegetarian is not a prerequisite).
